Ph. D ( Programme )

The monks who have got M. A. (Indo-Aryan) and served as a teacher at Buddhist University ( Mandalay or Rangoon) for at least five years are allowed to write a thesis or dissertation and submit it to the Senate for Ph.D. degree within it four or five years. The Senate will confer the Ph.D. (Doctorate) degree upon the candidate concerned whose thesis or dissertation is accepted as a satisfactory one. Since 2008 about ten teachers were given titles and allowed to write a thesis or a dissertation for the Doctorate degree.
